Election Information

Election Information

The next directors election will be held on May 2, 2020. The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot is January 15, 2020. The last day to file an application for a place on the ballot is February 14, 2020. Please see the Texas Secretary of State website for additional election deadlines. Please see Section 54.102, Texas Water Code, and 141.001, Texas Election Code, for the eligibility requirements to serve as a director. Candidate filing materials can be found on the Texas Secretary of State and the Texas Ethics Commission websites.

Election for director candidates to the Municipal Utility Districts served by The Woodlands Water Agency will be held on May 2, 2020. Early voting begins April 20, 2020 and ends April 28, 2020

Applications for candidates to The Woodlands MUD No. 1, Montgomery County MUD Nos. 6, 7, 36, 39, 46, 47, 60, 67 and The Woodlands Metro Center MUD will be accepted beginning January 15, 2020. The last day to file is February 14 – with no applications accepted after 5 p.m. Please note, per Texas election law, applications cannot be submitted prior to Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
